KERNEL [Petros Moris, Pegy Zali, Theodoros Giannakis]

Through the last years, we have been designing our hybrid infrastructures of archiving and performing. We have been reinventing our tools, the physical and the ethereal ones. We have been telling and retelling versions of stories about the landscapes and the phenomena that compose our extended environment.

The organs of thought have been turned inside-out. The distributed brain has been dismantled. The brain’s synapses have been made visible in the form of individual bodies. The composition of these bodies is not just something more than the sum of its parts. It is understood as a completely new subject. An original and synthetic character. This character is the canvas on which the dynamic relationships that take place between its parts are projected.

We are called to juggle between the trivial and the novel. To accept to deal with a tradition of both subversions and conventions. To operate within, against, and over time. Besides, to collectively recite, to collaboratively reinvent, is not an act of efficiency. It is the forming of an ever-shifting understanding of economy. Economy of means, economy of time, of feelings and expression.

In the end, we navigate a field that looks both like a grid and a goat path.
